Mountain biking at the Coper Kingdom is an amazing experience. A surreal lunar landscape. No guide, no costs, no tourists, just you and this environment...
The Copper Kingdom, 5 mins from the cottage. A dream for photographers, mountain bikers, walkers, industrial historians - or anyone wanting an amazing afternoon. Sunsets and sunrises are best from the trig point by this tower.
The Great Opencast, the hollowed-out centre of the mountain, dug with nothing more than picks, shovels and gunpowder.
Taken from Point Lynas lighthouse towards Dulas Island and the Snowdonia pn the mainland. If you're ready for the challenge, the Anglesey coastal path will take you 125 miles, all the way around the island.
The friendly dogs of the sea, seals can be seen with delight all year round. They bask on Dulas Island and feed in the tidal race off Point Lynas

Seeing a dolphin in the wild is a moment you'll not forget - they feed in the turbulent tidal race below Lynas Point. Seeing them is more likely in warmer months, early morning, at the turn of the tide. Seals and porpoises are common all year round.

Cosy Fisherman’s Cottage by the Beach & Lighthouse

Entire Place • 5 guests • 3 bedrooms • 4 beds • 1 bathroom

Welcome to Anglesey, mother of Wales. On the jewel of her crown - the northernmost tip - lies Llanfoi, an ancient fisherman’s cottage, just a few minutes walk from the beach at Eilian Bay. Light the wood stove and get cosy. Relax and enjoy the warmth of the sunroom. You will feel super-welcome here. This part of the world is known for extremes of weather, and you'll feel alive! At the back door, it can be howling a gale, the wind playing piano on the slates on the roof - whilst glorious sunshine bathes the front room. You’ll feel aware of the sea, the salt is in the air. We love waking up to the racket of the seagulls. The beach at Eilian Bay is a short walk - a sheltered cove with a slipway, where you can swim or boat or fish - or just watch the world go by. A group of swimmers will welcome you to join them just before high tide, particularly on sunny days, all year round! Their FB page is Nofio Porth Eilian. Cold water swimming has amazing effects. Above the beach, take a short, breathtaking hike to the lighthouse on the tip of Linus Point. The whirlpool beneath is a tidal race from Llandudno’s Great Orme to your right - and Dublin on your left. The little tower on the island in the distance once sheltered shipwrecked sailors. It is home to seals and seagulls. If you look carefully, you might see porpoises (very much like dolphins). The path you are standing on goes all the way around the island. The scenery is wild, rugged and spectacular, looking back to the mountain range of Snowdonia to the south, and to the West, the torn rainbow of rocky ocre, gold and orange of Parry’s Mountain, once the largest copper mine in the world. There are days when you can lie down on the wind and it will hold you up. On others, the Irish Sea stretches before you like a mirror, all the way to Douglas and the Isle of Man on the horizon. Our family has lived and holidayed in these cottages for over 100 years. Pack your bathers, sturdy boots, warm clothes and waterproofs… This is a holiday you’ll not forget. A truly special place - and it is our pleasure to share it with you. Guests have access to the whole house; lounge, kitchen, shower room, a twin and a double bedroom, and up a steep little staircase (see picture) a crog loft which can sleep 2 children. At the back of the house is a beautiful sunroom, which is warm for much of the year. Please contact us via airbnb message if you need anything. A steep staircase leads up to the crog loft. it is unsuitable for very young children. It is best to come down facing the stairs, the same way you went up. Please look carefully at the photos before booking. Walks To the pub...
